Stanley Jones was my second Great-Uncle. He was next in line of the Jones family after my Great-Grandmother, Trixie. Stanley was born in Texas and lived there until his family moved to the Sayre/Mangum Oklahoma area when he was a child. Then, after several years in Sayre, Stanley moved to Avant, Oklahoma as did the rest of his family.
Stanley served in WWI. Upon his return, he lived in Nebraska, Wyoming and settled in Oregon. He was married to Helen (she was a native Nebraskan) and they had one daughter. He was quite the outdoorsman according to photos. He lived the remainder of his life in Oregon where he is buried. I am sure there is a very interesting story behind Stanley but I guess that story may be long gone.
